Famous Composers Notebooking Pages

Have you ventured into the fun world of notebooking yet? We have done quite a few of our homeschool studies this way–science, history, character studies, etc. And here is another great way to use notebooking–when you’re studying composers! Today I’m happy to share with you the Famous Composer Notebooking Pages created by Debra Reed.

What is Notebooking?

If you have never heard of notebooking, basically it means that you are creating a notebook with different types of pages related to your subject. Think “scrapbooking” or “journaling.” There are so many different ways to do it that it can really fit almost any child’s learning style.

I love that notebooking with the Famous Composer Notebooking Pages can be adapted to be used by all grade levels. The youngest kids can simply color the composer and draw “what they hear” when listening to his or her music.

Suggestions for Music Notebooking

The older kids can write biographical summaries and musical critiques. These would also be awesome for high schoolers who are doing a music appreciation course for high school credit. You can even use it with my Music Appreciation courses!
