Today, I thought we should listen to some love songs to celebrate Valentine’s Day! You and your kids will enjoy these 3 videos that are part of the 15-Minute Music Lesson for Valentine’s Day. Be sure to download the free printable pack to spend a little more time exploring some music education concepts related to the violin, guitar, and listening.
Disney Love Songs
First, listen to an a cappella (only singing, no instruments) arrangement of three Disney songs: “I See the Light” from Tangled, “You’ll Be In My Heart” from Tarzan, and “Go the Distance” from Hercules. The medley (several songs combined into one longer song) is performed by the group Voctave, featuring Kirstin Maldonado and Jeremy Michael Lewis.
The Full Online Course Music for Holidays and Special Days is now available. 36 Lessons to use throughout the year!
“My Heart Will Go On”
Next, hear the love theme”My Heart Will Go On” from the movie Titanic. The violin solo is played by Andre Rieu. This is a fun video, with ice skaters!
“A Time for Us”
Finally, listen to a classical guitar version of “A Time for Us,” the love theme from the movie of Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, probably the most famous love story of all time.
