It’s no secret how much children love music. When a song starts, they come ALIVE! There is some pretty amazing science behind why this is the case.

Family Music for Mixed Ages

She has a new class series called “Family Music for Mixed Ages.”

Who is this class series for?

  • Children ages one to five (and their parents!).

  • Six and seven-year-olds also love participating with younger siblings

  • You can do the classes with one child or multiple children.

What’s Included in this class series?

  • Six 18-22 minute classes designed to be repeated 4-8 times or more.

  • 94 activities for structured musical play including songs, poetry, movement and rhythm activities
  • Songs in major and minor tonalities
  • Songs in duple and triple meter (just a fancy way musicians talk about counting rhythm)

  • Tonal and rhythm pattern echoes

    • Patterns are the foundation of every song. Singing and chanting them build’s your child’s repertoire of the building blocks of music — and fuels the pathways in the brain for composing and tuneful singing.

  • Simple instrument playing – Rhythm sticks, shakers, scarves, jingles, bean bags and grooved rhythm sticks.

  • Imaginative movement exploration

    • Dancing, playing with scarves, playing singing games.
