Songs to Listen to/Practice at Home:
White Winter Hymnal
We had 7 people missing (half the class), so I wasn’t able to assign everyone their part. Please be here next Friday (Jan. 31), so you’ll be able to practice in February before we meet up again in March!
I’m posting two videos here because you can see the hand-clapping choreography better in one than the other. Also, I’m posting the tutorials. Some aren’t showing up below, but you can click through to YouTube if that ends up being your part.
Siyahamba
I can’t find a recording of the exact arrangement we’re doing, but this will help you with the feel of the song. We’ll be adding djembe and shekere also, so let me know if you’re experienced in playing percussion.
Please number your measures in your music. I’ll post mine soon so you can see if you did it correctly.
May the Lord Bless and Keep You:

Tiritomba:

Johnny with the Bandy Legs:
Practice your part (low or high) at home this week with the following video
A reminder that the first two pages are in unison (everyone sings the same thing). The last page has a melody, which is the low part, and a descant, which is the high part. I sing the melody/low part first and then on the repeat I sing the descant/high part. Just learn the part you’re supposed to learn (high or low).
