Matthew West CD “All In”

Today I’m happy to review the newest Matthew West CD All In. From the moment I popped it in my car CD player, I enjoyed it. There are a variety of songs, which I’ll discuss below. But, the thing that I loved most about it is that it reached into my soul.

I’ve been having a difficult week, and the songs on Matthew’s CD gave me renewed hope. It focused me again to see what was important and forget the rest. It made me remember my place with God and his love and grace for me.

The Songs

I love the variety of the songs on this new Matthew West CD All In. Some were his typical style that I hear on the radio, but he also has some fun, lively tunes and even a song where his daughter sings with him!

Here are some quotes from the songs which were especially meaningful for me:

I hear You calling and this time the fear won’t win. I’m going, I’m going all in.

Mercy is a song singing to my heart Telling me it’s ok, come just as you are.

And as far as I know “Mom” is just another name for Home.

Matthew’s heart behind the album:

Matthew wrote his new album All In with the goal of encouraging himself and others to get up off the sidelines of their faith and really live it out – to go all in in your time with God, all in with your family, all in with your community, and all in battling your fears that may hold you back from becoming who God made you to be. Matthew will be launching a 6-week All in Challenge on his social media starting 9/18, and each week Matthew will be challenging his fans to go all in in a different part of their lives. What does it look like when a heart that knows Jesus takes a step and holds nothing back? How can we go All In in the places that mean the most?
