SQUILT Christmas Carols
Have you heard of SQUILT? It stands for Super Quiet Uninterrupted Listening Time and is an extremely easy and fun way to teach music appreciation to your kids. SQUILT Christmas Carols by Mary Prather is a great way to learn about the great Christmas carols during December.
Christmas Carols Volume 1 is 24 pages long and teaches these 5 carols:
- Carol of the Bells
- Away in a Manger
- The Little Drummer Boy
- Angels We Have Heard on High
- O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Christmas Carols Volume 2 teaches these 5 carols:
- Bring a Torch Jeanette, Isabella
- Go Tell It on the Mountain
- In The Bleak Midwinter
- The First Noel
- Calypso Carol
Everything you need is included in the downloadable file–what to teach, links for more info (including special sites like how to draw something), and links to the music to listen to (on YouTube)!

I have more reviews of SQUILT volumes at I Choose Joy!: Volume 1 Baroque, Volume 2 Classical, and Volume 3 Romantic. These are great for introducing your children to composers and music of those musical time periods!
