Today, we’re diving into a fabulous resource that will revolutionize how you approach art appreciation in your homeschool. It’s called Fine Art Pages, and they’re perfect for busy homeschool families like yours.
Let’s face it—art appreciation often takes a backseat in our homeschools, doesn’t it? Maybe it’s because we don’t know where to start, we lack the time, or we feel like we need an advanced art history degree to do it “right.” But Fine Art Pages changes all that. Read on for how this simple, organic approach to art appreciation can enrich your homeschool without adding more to your plate.

A Homeschool Dream
If you’re like me, you’ve dreamed of sharing fine art with your children, imagining beautiful works by Monet, Vermeer, or Church adorning your homeschool walls. But then reality sets in: by the time you’ve bought math books, science supplies, and stacks of great literature, there’s just no room in the budget—or schedule—for art. Maybe you’ve tried art books, only to discover that no one’s really reading or looking at them. Sound familiar?
Ingenious Method of Fine Art Pages
Well, I have good news. Today, I’m sharing a resource that’s simple, affordable, and almost effortless. It’s called Fine Art Pages. Stick with me as I walk you through how this ingenious method works and why it’s the perfect solution for busy homeschool families.
So, what are Fine Art Pages? They’re downloadable, printable collections of artwork that make introducing fine art to your family easy and effective. Each page features one piece of art along with just the right amount of information about the artwork and the artist.
The best part? There’s no complicated curriculum to follow. Just print them out, place them around your home—like on the fridge, in the bathroom, or on a bulletin board—and let your family naturally absorb and engage with the art. This simple “exposure method” works wonders because it doesn’t require structured lessons or extra planning on your part.

Where did Fine Art Pages Come From?
Here’s a little backstory: like many homeschool moms, the creator of Enrichment Studies Fine Art Pages (Erica Johns) found herself overwhelmed by the idea of adding fine art to her schedule. Between teaching lessons, making meals, and keeping the house running, she didn’t have the time—or energy—to plan and teach formal art lessons.
Then, one day, she had an idea: what if she could introduce fine art to her children in a way that was simple, painless, and didn’t require her to lift a finger after the initial setup? That’s the concept behind Fine Art Pages.
Here’s how it works:
Print out the Fine Art Pages on regular paper or card stock. You can do this at home, send them to a local copy shop, or order a printed set through me that will arrive in your mailbox!
Stick the art up in places where your family will naturally see it—bathrooms, bedrooms, the kitchen, or even next to the bathroom mirror. Use poster putty or tape to make it easy, or my favorite tool: Fodeez reusable sticky frames! Laminate them to make them even longer lasting!
Let the art speak for itself! Your kids will notice it, absorb it, and even start recognizing famous works without you having to do anything extra.
This method is so effortless that I often wonder why I didn’t think of it myself!
Favorite Places to Display Fine Art Pages
Let’s get practical. Here are some of my favorite places to display Fine Art Pages:
Next to the bathroom sink, where kids will see it while brushing their teeth.
On the wall by the kitchen sink, perfect for when someone’s helping with dishes.
On the fridge.
On the table as a placemat.
By each child’s bed, where they can reflect on the art as they wake up or fall asleep.
On the sliding door to the backyard.
On each child’s bedroom door.
And yes—on the wall next to the toilet!
The beauty of this method is that you don’t need to announce what you’re doing. Just hang up the art and let it do its magic.
“My kids love the changing art in the bathroom.” 🙂 ~Cat
Fun Incentives to Engage Your Kids
Want to take it a step further? Create some fun incentives to engage your kids. For example, you could ask during lunch, “Who knows the title of the painting in the upstairs bathroom?” Or, while driving in the car, quiz them on the artist of the painting hanging on the fridge. These little moments can spark curiosity and help your family learn more without feeling like it’s a chore.
For younger kids who aren’t reading yet, take a moment to share the name of the artist and the title of the piece. Then, ask open-ended questions like:
“What colors do you see?”
“How does this painting make you feel?”
“What story do you think this painting is telling?”
This simple exposure creates a foundation for appreciating art that will last a lifetime.
Why Fine Art Pages are a Game-changer for Homeschoolers
Now, let’s talk about why Fine Art Pages are such a game-changer for homeschool families.
Budget-Friendly: Unlike expensive art books or classes, Fine Art Pages are very affordable.
Effortless: There’s no curriculum to follow, no prep required, and no extra teaching time. Just hang the art and let it work its magic.
Flexible: Whether you swap out the art weekly or leave it up for a month, your kids will still benefit.
Over time, these small, consistent exposures add up. Imagine this: if you display just five pieces of art per year from Kindergarten through 12th grade, by the time your children graduate, they’ll be familiar with 65 iconic works. If you swap art weekly in two bathrooms, your family could encounter over 100 pieces in a single year!
Combine Your Fine Art Pages with Other Subjects
One of the things I love most about Fine Art Pages is how versatile they are. They’re not just for art appreciation—you can use them to enrich other subjects like history, geography, literature, or even science. Plus, they’re a fantastic resource for celebrating special events like Black History Month, Women’s History Month, or seasonal holidays. Let me share a few ideas on how you can integrate these pages into your homeschool.
History and Geography
Art is such a powerful way to bring history and geography to life! With collections like the Frederic Edwin Church Fine Art Pages, your kids can see breathtaking landscapes of places like Niagara Falls or the Andes Mountains. This can deepen their understanding of geography and even inspire further study into the regions depicted in the paintings.
The Ancient Greek Sculpture and Pottery Fine Art Pages and Art of Ancient Egypt collections are perfect for history lessons. Display these pages while learning about these civilizations to give your children a visual understanding of the culture, values, and artistry of the time.
For U.S. history, try the Paul Revere Fine Art Pages, featuring his famous engravings, or many which depict scenes from the American frontier. Seeing these works of art can spark discussions about historical events, people, and lifestyles.
Special Events
When it comes to celebrating Black History Month or Women’s History Month, Fine Art Pages are an incredible resource. The Celebrating Black People in Art Fine Art Pages collection showcases 30 works of art by or about people of color, spanning centuries and diverse cultures. You’ll not only introduce your kids to stunning art but also help them learn about important figures and moments in Black history.
Art can also enhance your seasonal or holiday studies. The Easter Fine Art Pages feature Biblical artwork that pairs perfectly with scripture, making it a meaningful addition to your Easter celebrations. For spring, the Beauty of Spring Fine Art Pages bring the season to life with colorful, nature-inspired art.
Science can even get a boost with art! The Hilma af Klint Fine Art Pages feature abstract works inspired by geometry and nature, offering a unique blend of art and math. Meanwhile, the John James Audubon Fine Art Pages and Marianne North Fine Art Pages beautifully tie into nature studies, showcasing intricate bird, animal, and flower illustrations that your kids can sketch or research further.
The Bible Fine Art Pages are incredible, too, for helping you match the Scriptures you’re studying to different Fine Art created through the past 5 centuries.
No matter what subject you’re teaching, Fine Art Pages can be a seamless and enriching addition to your homeschool. By tying art into history, geography, Bible study, or special events, you’re giving your kids a broader, more meaningful education—and all without adding extra work to your plate!
Testimonials
One homeschool mom shared how she started using Fine Art Pages with her young children. She laminated the pages, hung them in the bathrooms, and casually mentioned the artists’ names during their day. One day, her 4-year-old correctly identified Matisse’s Dessert: Harmony in Red while visiting the library. That’s the power of natural exposure!
Another mom (Deborah S.) said: “This one kept falling off the wall, so I asked my daughter if I should just go ahead and put it away early. “NO!! I want to keep that one up. It’s my favorite–it’s really beautiful!” Apparently it may be transferred to her room full-time … but only after she looks through the entire binder to see what others she may want too …”
